With more than 25 years in private practice emphasizing environmental, real estate, and business law, including work with nonprofit organizations, I represent individuals, small businesses, nonprofits and large companies. I enjoy working with clients who are learning to use legal counsel effectively because I can help them manage growth and change in their business. I have worked extensively in the real estate, broadcasting, telecommunications, recycling, environmental services, finance, and hospitality industries.

Northwest Environmental Business Council (NEBC)
1994 – 2005 (11 years)
Oregon Environmental Technology Association board member (one of NEBC's predecessor organizations). Worked with founding executive director David Welsh to create NEBC, serving as the organization's legal counsel during the drafting and adoption of NEBC's articles of incorporation and bylaws. Served as an officer (Secretary, President) and director through NEBC's start-up and early years.
Pro Bono Counsel
The Freshwater Trust
1993 – 1996 (3 years)
Worked with founding executive director Andrew Purkey and board members as pro bono counsel, creating legal agreements for the first ever transaction in Oregon involving the transfer of water rights for in stream use to preserve and protect stream flows for salmon.

Portland Children's Museum
1990 – 2005 (15 years)
Board member and officer. Worked extensively with Executive Director Verne Stanford to found CM2, Children's Museum Second Generation, and with the Children's Museum's staff and board in transitioning the Children's Museum from Lair Hill to Washington Park.

The Environmental Commission of the Diocese of Oregon is a group of lay and clergy leaders of the diocese who focus on environmental issues from the perspective of a people of faith.

St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church
2000 – Present (15 years)
I have held numerous leadership roles at St. Michael's including vestry (board) member, Senior Warden (board president), Green Team chair and Stewardship Chair. I am currently a member of the Vestry and Green Team Chair. I am working with the Green Team and vestry to certify St. Michael's as an environmental leader under the GreenFaith certification program.
